  1. This is the first time I have ever posted, as I tend to be the person that reads all this stuff, however on this occasion I fixed my bike so thought it would be good to post for the benefit of the community. About six weeks ago, I had an issue where my bike struggled to start from hot, however it did eventually burst into life but was obviously not well! The problem persisted until two days before it was due to go for the MOT. I tried starting but all it would do was spin the engine over and as you do on these occasions, I flattened the battery. In a rush to get the bike going I bo

  2. NC Track day No.3. Why track day an NC750 ? I must apologise, I have read my Track day account part 2 and it is full of mistakes. My problem, having half a brain, I don’t compose sentences properly and don’t check what I have written, Sorry. My brain rambles on, my accounts are as I remember, but I do have only half of one !! Sadly, Here in Devon I don’t have many people who are interested in modifying/playing with bikes. When I was in Croydon, 94-2004 with the workshop, mostly dyno work, selling Dynojet kits and exhaust cans and systems. I was very luck

  3. Just thought I would drop my own experience of the 16K service in here. The price I was quoted by a Honda dealer was £488 for the 16K service on a DCT 2016 NC750X. This prompted me to look at doing it myself. I ordered the oil and filters online and had them delivered for around £60. A quick google video search uncovered some great clips showing how to change the oil and filters (DCT, so two filters needed). A separate video showed the air filter change (which was the biggest faff by far). In total I spent around an hour doing these jobs. Sure I also spent some time trawling this forum

  4. Well, Thanks to all you wonderful people my bike is alive again. Today I replaced the clutch and it did the job. I am chuffed to bits that i finally got there. I had so much help from all of you. I must admit I do feel a bit stupid for changing things that turns out didn't need to be changed. Like I've said before I have learnt some new diagnostic skills and purchased some new tools that will aid me in the future. Thanks again to each one of you.

  5. Dear NC's, I am a Newbie with an NC750 DCT, I can't ride a manual bike because of fused ankle and lack of co-ordination from brain injury. This week I finally had a chance to ride a bike again, after a 17 year gap, I had an accident at the 2004 TT which left me with life changing injuries. I have never been a fan of riding bikes on the road, in the 90's I had a rolling road business in Croydon, with a customer base of 300-500, we use to lose, dead, 2-4 a year due to accidents, so I knew riding at the TT was nearly as unsafe as road riding in South London. I bought a NC750
