Rev Ken 6,327 Posted June 6, 2017 Share Posted June 6, 2017 Trams of former times had a pedal for the driver to stamp on when traction was poor. It deposited sand infront of driving wheels allowing Dundee trams to climb some of the steeper routes. Perhaps some similar, but more expensive, dispensing system could help trains? 1 Link to post
