Perhaps we could adopt the Morgan idea for lubricating the sliding pillars on their front suspension. There is a little button to the left of the clutch on the floor, (in the 'good old days I would have said 'where teh dip switch usually is') and you just press it occasionally and it forces hot engine oil on to the sliding pillars.
