centre stand

Please pardon my ignorance,but what is a centre stand?

It’s a device attached to the frame below (and behind) the engine to allow the rear wheel to be raised clear of the ground when the bike is parked. It’s especially useful when doing maintenance work, like oiling the chain or removing the wheels to change tyres etc.

 

They always used to be provided as standard equipment, but these days you have to pay extra for them.

Cheers Tex, just wondered as a few folks on here are buying or selling,I have one on my integra already , and was starting to think it was something else entirely. Thanks again.
