My 700 is at 38k, is there still a chance it can go? Twice i've had the flashing gear number and the panic dept in my brain told me it was imminent doom from the shifter pin. Since searching the web i've found out that its more likely to be a speed sensor/abs issue?

They seem to fail randomly  750  less so than 700  and I think stoping engine in gear by key,  sidestand, or kill switch,  which stops engine then shifts to netural seem not to help but I don't really know !

It not a bad job, no gasket, just the pin which is about £15  and between 2 and 4 hours depending on how much of a barsteward the cluch assemblies are to refit I done one that slid stright back and I have done one that took over an hour of fiddling and the rest in between !
