Guest machinman
Front sprocket 54nm Rear sprocket 108nm Rear wheel 98nm Link to post
Guest micksea
thanks, appreciate that.they don"t want that rear sprocket coming off do they? Link to post
CFB 4,601
Tip. Loosen front and rear sprocket nuts before taking the wheel out. Chock the wheel with a lump of 2x2 wood though the wheel and swing arm. Reverse for torquing them up. Link to post

CFB 4,601
If Mr Honda says 98 then at 98 I shall torque it. I doubt they have got it wrong, after all, they pay engineers to get it right. 1 Link to post

DaveM59 1,605
Don't forget torque figures assume new bolts dry assembled in clean cut threads with loctite if used originally. Old bolts with coppaslip or grease or whatever scenario will differ and the original torque may be far too high for these bolts. Personally I never torque anything apart from cylinder head and big end bolts and just use the feel through the spanner/socket to judge. Nothing has ever come loose and everything does undo when needed without shearing or rounding heads off. 2 Link to post
