Honda NC750XD RPM

Hello to all,

 

I have noticed that my Honda NC750X dashboard shows higher rpm when its is in reality. At speed appr. 80 km/h with 6 gear, rpm amounts to 4 thous. Iddle - appr. 2,3 thous, but using the computer diagnosis, its was normal 1,3 thous. Any suggestions how to solve it?

Has it got the correct dash fitted? I seem to recall someone having a similar type of odd behaviour when a DCT dash was fitted to a manual bike, or vice versa, I forget the exact detail. There was a recall on early 750 models to change the instrument pack due to some weird trip computer behaviour, did your bike have this done?

There should be a label on the underneath of the dash unit with the part number I believe.
