They are required for subharness to work. In other case not needed.

Thanks. Are they all included when you buy the sub harness for £13?

cheers

This is the bit that you have to go ferreting around with all the side panels off?

Is there a step by step how to do this. I’ve got 12v socket, leds and soon heated grips all direct off battery and would like the switched live, but not sure about how to do it....

There are videos on YT showing step by step how to get to it. It's not as bad as it seems.

Make sure you look at the video/info for 2016 bikes on and X not S as each is different (also location). Also IIRC there were several harnesses for the various models with different connectors etc so maybe best to order from the dealer or check first and not just buy the first part number you find.

On my 2015 X I found lots of cable cable tied together (as per Honda instructions) which I stretched out to bring the connectors  up to the LH fairing side, so that in future I could get to it with one panel with 3 fasteners/screws

These are the exact parts i bought for my 2016 X. On the sub harness there are 3 reds, 3 browns and a blue... however the blue wire is redundant since the 6p on the bike only has 2 wires, a neg and a pos.

Take a look at the downloadable pdf for nc750x 2016 acc socket

Thanks - but can’t see that.  Only 2012 is listed, and no acc socket? Am I missing something?

Thanks - that’s what I tried last time too, but it only gives the 2012 option. Odd....

Incidentally if you want to save a few quid then instead of buying the Honda Relay Kit just get a standard 4 pole  micro relay and 7.5 amp mini fuse for about 1/3 of the price.
