neojynx 722
So this weekend I had to change a wheel bearing. Although not long ago since I did the rear ones, I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement spacer to be sent from Japan. Its only a steel tube but even so... As I didnt have time to wait last time, I re-used the damaged spacer, but obviously had a little too much damage and caused the rear bearing to wobble. I replaced the spacer with the new one and swapped out the offending bearing all is now good. Didnt take long at all, about 30 minutes in total but then I put it all back together, gave it a test run and the ABS light came on after about 30 seconds with a steady pulse. I checked the rear ABS pulser ring and saw that it is obviously made from cardboard reinforced with jelly. There was a bend in it, I must have caught it somehow and it got slightly bent. Slight straightening up with a screwdriver and fixed. Just one to watch out for when you remove your wheels. I'll be much more careful next time. 2 1 Link to post
