Rev Ken 6,304
Definitely get the parts. Just because others have done 60,000 miles without a problem doesn't mean they all ought to do it! No doubt they have an average life, so some must have a shorter life and others a longer life! Naturally Honda want to find out why yours failed at a low mileage. Your local garage should be more than happy to give you the parts for Honda to examine. Of course if they are crooks..... but local garages rely on their reputation so I would be surprised if they were anything but honest. 1 Link to post
davebike 943
As an independant Mechanic my self I call the repairer and make sure they KNOW you want the replaced parts I/We always keep them fro a customer buy some places do not 7k for a set of needle rollers is very very poor Me if I found that on a 3 year 7k bike I have stoped contacted the customer and told them to talk to Honda My idea as to why it failed if that it failed to get greased when the bearings were fitted I may be looking at mine ! All the best hope it get sorted Link to post

It also helped if you removed the plug and used a pencil on it to improve the spark. Ahh, so your claims of being an anti-mechanic aren’t entirely true then? 5 Link to post
