hi hope some body out there can me just bought a nc750x and looking at topping up rear break fluid but struggling to get to reservoir any help appreciated

It is retained by a small bolt or Allen screw.

Undo this and you can swing the reservoir out to meet you.

Come round to the exhaust side of the bike.

If you look in to the rear of the side panel you can see the reservoir.

The securing bolt is located just forward of the reservoir.

You wont get a spanner on it.

You will need either a 1/4 inch socket with an extension.

Or

A suitable box spanner.

Or, if it's an Allen bolt, a long enough Allen key.

Once you undo the bolt, the reservoir is joined to the brake piston with a length of tube which is flexible enough to allow you to pull the reservoir out to meet you.

 

No need to disturb any of the plastics for this job.

Had a flashback!

If topping up and bleeding the rear brake doesn't bring things up to par.

Check that the caliper has not seized solid in place.

A little bit of dismantling and greasing of the various bits will not be wasted time.

Mine was corroded to the point that nothing budged without a hammer.

In fact if my experience is anything to go by.

Assume that nothing has been oiled, greased or otherwise lubricated until you have done it.

Now, check your suspension linkages....

Great video by an Ozzie bloke on how to do the rear suspension units/linkages, albeit with one error, the lower suspension unit bearing is a needle roller and can be dismantled enough in situ to re-grease once the dog bones etc are removed. See my thread "what to do tomorrow" for vid link.
