grhhm 6
Hi guys, Another strange issue with the DCT in Honda NC700D Integra 2012. When accelerating slowly, running the engine below 3500 RPM, the DCT works perfectly, shifting up from 1 to 6. When accelerating at >3500RPM (let's say 4000 RPM), the DCT shifts up from 1 to 4 OK and then struggles to shift into 5th gear. Temporary I workaround this issue by reducing the trust below 3500RPM when reaching 4th gear to switch to 5th. Maybe this is mechanical problem because very similar behavior is in manual shifting mode. It sounds like servomotor tries to shift up but cannot... like something blocks it. This is annoying. Likely, the DCT needs to be shown to a dealer. Did anyone encounter this? What was the root cause of the problem? Electrical or mechanical? Thanks! Link to post
Slowboy 20,542
Shift motor getting a bit tired and emotional? Maybe it needs more effort at higher revs to shift. Trouble is it’s an expensive thing to test by replacement. Most of the few issues on here with DCT seem to be shift motor related. Link to post
davebike 943
Either shift motor as Slowboy said or the Shift pin Unless there is a fault light up I tend to recommend an oil change and renew BOTH oil filters before stripping just incase 1 Link to post

Apparently used on quad bikes too and lots here for years so use a simple test to indicate if the problem lies with the motor. Edited April 7, 2021 by MikeBike 2 Link to post

Maybe he replaced two filters, IDK. @MikeBike Thanks for the 'handful' hint! Thanks guys for the advices! Link to post
