    Handle bars shake?

Unlikely but losing a wheel balance weight (black stick on in my case) would also cause shakes.

    Handle bars shake?

@Grumpy old man, every bike I’ve had has done a version this, usually around 40 to 35 mph slowing down with hands off the bars. Including my NC. Having a load up in the top box and or panniers can make it worse, it usually does. A heavy tank bag can improve it. It’s part of the compromise the designer has between stability and easy steering, the relationship between rake and trail. In simple terms, long trail more stable, heavier steering, short rake light steering less stable. Nothing to worry about, the designer intentionally allowed for the rider holding on with both hands, keeps the

    Handle bars shake?

Thanks Trev, it's been there a while that I know of but it might have been there even before just wasn't aware as I hadn't removed my hands from the bars. It's had different makes of tyres that hasn't made a difference but I've never played with the pressure on the front always 36psi. I'll have a play. Thanks.

    Handle bars shake?

Almost every bike I've owned has had a 'shake' when slowing down (it's hard to speed up with no hands on the bars ). Usually somewhere between 35 and 50mph, depending on the bike. Just let the bike ride through it and it'll sort itself out. A 'shake' on accelerating, with hands on the bar, on the other hand is definitely an issue!

dont let go of the bars no charge seriously though just check TP and adjust slightly up or down

    Handle bars shake?

Was the shake there before the new tyres were fitted? In my experience, unless the bike basically has a 'twitchy' setup, which the NC does not, then it will be tyres and/or pressures causing it.

    DTC readout using SCS connector

I have it and have used it but I haven't had issues with DCT or ABS, yet.. I have a feeling it might not report DCT or ABS stuff as the engine data it reports is generic and as far as i can tell not model specific. For example it has VTEC parameters which will only apply to a small number of bikes. But it might still report DTC codes for DCT.

    Handle bars shake?

Hi All, Once again I'm asking this question. My bike a 2015 750x has a handle bar shake in the 45-50 mph range but only if I let go of the bars, just rest my finger on the bars and it goes. What causes it, I've had two new tyres and balancing, I've checked, greased and adjusted head bearings, new disc and pads, wheel bearings are good, I've tried adjusting rear preload up and down but to no affect. Any suggestions? Thanks

    DTC readout using SCS connector

Yep, I agree with you Andy. That's maybe the right mindset when we faced this kind of issues with intermittent faults especially when we deal with modern bikes having so much sensors and connections... I contacted Healtech asking about the DCT and ABS DTC reporting. They neither confirm nor deny just gave me the link to download the software where I can load some test samples and check by myself. I did it but I can't be 100% sure if it will actually read the dct and abs codes, because the test sample was from CB600F with bad tps sensor. The software is not something great

    Rear Brake not very effective

You saved me! I had today the same problem with my 2022 X-Adv. Thanks a lot for the hint. It's unbelievable how easy it could be. Unfortunatly I think it wasn't you or me which produced the problem with the screw as I could turn it in nearly to the bottom by hand. Only the last few turns were very strong and it showed me, that the bolt was damaged (maybe before? In the factory or by the dealer if he mounted the wheels? I bought the bike new from the Honda-Dealer. And the brake was never loosen before as it has only 8500km and it is now 1.5 year old)

    DTC readout using SCS connector

I use the adapter, basic bluetooth OBD and car scanner app. Far easier than counting out a blink code. Never really used it in anger on a bike. If it rides right it is right. There is nothing predictive in these analogue electronics. The logic is "I expected that and saw something else". The text needs interpreting that way. If I had a pound for every height sensor or ABS sensor changed because the text told the tech the reading was wrong I wouldn't still be telling people to buzz out the cables, or if I was it'd be from somewhere warmer. As far as I know if the ECU/EMU logs a DTC, the Healtech will report it. They have pretty good tech support so if you had a specific query regarding the DCT aspects it might be worth contacting them. I do recall someone saying it couldn't report DCT stuff and maybe not ABS but it doesn't say that anywhere. It does show live data and I have used it like this on a ride but it's not really designed for that. I do know it only works on pre 2021 NC bikes, although I haven't tried it on my 2022 yet. I am hopeful they might update it to support the newer bikes.

    DTC readout using SCS connector

Thanks Jeremy, Yes, DTC-37 seems to be. As I stated before - no issues since then and absolutely normal behavior of the bike so far. Maybe for now I just have to wait and see if it's going to progress in any negative way. Do you know if Healtech actually read all the DTC codes like the original Honda HDS tool. Codes from Honda PGM-FI, ABS and DCT., or it's only reading PGM-FI (engine trouble codes) and read some live data like - 02 sensors, rpm, manifold pressure and so on... BTW I'm expecting to receive OBD2 to Honda 4pin adapter soon and I'm going to test the K-lin

    DTC readout using SCS connector

I have similar on my VFR1200. I get a 77 DTC on my MIL. Yours definitely looks like 37 to me. Its the duration of the blink and the gap that matters. I get the 77 code intermittently and have done for over a year. It occasionally drops me into limp mode but a stop and a restart usually fixes it. Happens more in the wet so it's electrical somewhere. If it gets worse I'll have a dig. If you want to really check, a Healtech OBD reader can connect to the NC and read and reset the DTCs. If yours goes way and doesn't come back, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the response Andy. I also refer to this signal pattern : But I'm not quite sure if it's DTC 37 or 46 . For me it's more look like 37, because If I understand it right the first long blink doesn't count, because it's part of the cycling signal. For the DTC codes I found this :

  25. Hi guys, I own Honda NC 750XD /2019 model/. The last time when I was going to ride my NC something strange happened. Went to the garage, put it on central stand, started the engine end let it working couple of minutes. When I was ready with my riding gear I sit on the bike and try put it in D (drive), but noting happened. Then I saw a dash sign ( - ) blink in the gear indicator. I shut the engine off with the key and start it again. This time I managed to select Drive mode but MIL (check engine) lamp lights up . I drove couple of kilometers and didn't notice anything unusual with the bike.

Honda’s recommendation is mineral (GN4). Semi or full synthetic is your choice.

Apologise all, I'd always thought manual was 10/40, hence the issues on occasion for DCT owners and "standard oil", didn't realise it was 10/30 across the board. Luckily mine's a DCT and has always had Westway 10W30.
