Lighter/ 12volt socket

Hi guys and girls when the 12 volt power socket is fitted in the NO tank has it got its own fuse if so where are they normally put

It has in line 1A fuse located on the cable assembly that is connected between subharness and 12V socket

You need to remove the side panel to install it, and if you fit this in the standard way as shown in Honda's fitting instructions, then you would have to remove the panel again if you needed to replace the 1A fuse for the 12V socket, or to connect any other accessories to the spare sub-harness connectors.

 

I think this whole sub-harness and accessories fitting arrangement is a particularly poor piece of design by Honda.

The sub harness is just long enough to reach the left hand upper fairing  so you can cable tie it there once you've had the panels off. Then if it blows again or you want to connect / disconnect you only have 2 poppers and a screw IIRC then you can reach the fuses and plugs. Getting the side panel off was a pain and a fair bit of bending with the engine bars on.

Thanx guys , what a pain probably just fit another socket and fit straight to the battery
