fred_jb 10,265 Posted September 30, 2015 Share Posted September 30, 2015 You need to remove the side panel to install it, and if you fit this in the standard way as shown in Honda's fitting instructions, then you would have to remove the panel again if you needed to replace the 1A fuse for the 12V socket, or to connect any other accessories to the spare sub-harness connectors. I think this whole sub-harness and accessories fitting arrangement is a particularly poor piece of design by Honda. Fred Link to post
MikeBike 5,006 Posted September 30, 2015 Share Posted September 30, 2015 The sub harness is just long enough to reach the left hand upper fairing so you can cable tie it there once you've had the panels off. Then if it blows again or you want to connect / disconnect you only have 2 poppers and a screw IIRC then you can reach the fuses and plugs. Getting the side panel off was a pain and a fair bit of bending with the engine bars on.
