Guest robin
Is it only the auto versions that have 2 oil filters to change??? Link to post
Guest sykospain
Absolutely - the extra one is a tiny paper thingie with a little rubber gasket that fits in the aperture covered by a capping low down on the RH side of the motor / tranny unit. viz: Manual bikes just need the HiFlo or dearer K&N main filter coded '204 Racing'. They are the ones with the nut welded on to the end so you don't have to p*ss about with a filter wrench like the US girl does for ages in that hilarious video I posted ! Sorry I didn't notice whether your bike is an X or an S - If it's an X, I also have a U-Toob vid showing the simpler & faster replacement of oil & filter ( only 1 ! ) in the X model, courtesy of a US biker called MotoZombie, whose ½-hour vid I've slashed down to a few mins. The main thing to remember when working with used oil is that it's ever-so-slightly carcinogenic, so please wear Black Widow or similar professional nitrile gloves that make your hands feel like they aren't inside a pair of gloves and yet are screened from the elements in the old oil.
