ncmf 87 Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Hi, on my NC700SA. (42k), I have a problem where I cant change down gear, I can get up to 4th and 5th, but cant change down. I happened yesterday, then was OK again today, then happened today again. I had to filter for 10 miles on the M25 today in 4th. The lever just wont move down, no movement in it at all. Is this likely to be the clutch? Link to post
trisaki 2,029 Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 There's are pivot bolt , believe Allen headed holding the gear lever on , could be something as simple as that seizing up , take off , clean and grease , do mine once a year , does make a difference if not , then a delve into the clutch housing and I think the gear selector fork is behind the clutch basket , send me a pm and will look in the wshop manual 1 Link to post
