Guest CoachDriver
When I picked up my new to me bike (2014X DCT) a couple of weeks ago they had replaced the clock. Today the fuel gauge is flashing red and counting up even though it's nearly full ggggrrrrr..... Gonna phone then tomorrow. Link to post

Defender 3,838
The instrument pack on the '750 seems to be prone to strange faults, it seems odd that a new one has gone faulty so soon. It may be a connection from the tank level sensor, but best get the dealer who fitted it to take a look. Link to post
glencoeman 129
Check the battery connections first as it seems to give a lot of electrical gremlins if they are not tight. Link to post
michael 324
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Reminded me of the unknown number of motorcycles i've owned with no fuel gauge. Stop, untwist the lid and peer inside. Now that is accuracy! Link to post
bazza 3,629
just like a computer - disconnect the battery - then reconnect, making sure the terminals are tight! Only takes a few minutes. Link to post
RussB644 379
Good advice above then Kevin, what was the issue in the end? Link to post
Guest CoachDriver
Called the stealership.... They will collect next next Thursday but won't be able to look till following week. Will have a play with battery terminals on Wednesday when I get back of my trip. Link to post
