Hey guys new to the forum, so go easy :)

I want to get a new chain and sockets for my 2015 NC750S DCT, OMG what a mine field of info, sprocket size differences in auto and manual, differences for different years???

I have read the US forums and they have a few quotes of the 2015 NC750S DCT using a 520 chain with 120 links, and the front sprocket needs to be 16 or 17 (conflicting info?) and rear socket or 39 or 43? again conflicting info?

Has anyone has experience in this?

Thanks

i FOUND THIS OLD POST OF MINE ON THE SUBJECT. tHESE BLOKES WERE A GOOD PLACE TO BUY, THERE ARE QUITE A FEW OPTIONS THEY OFFER AND PRICE AND SERVICE WERE FINE. (oops caps lock on sorryy didn't mean to shout)

I don't have aDCT but just get your sprocket sizes from your Owners Handbook and have at it. Steel sprockets are better than Alloy unless you're racing.

Chain/sprocket SET http://sprocketcente...-2012-2015.html

I bought a chain/sprocket set from these guys, DID VX-2 x-ring and standard sized steel sprockets. Good price and excellent service.

Hope this helps, Graeme

Many thanks guys, my head is spinning with sprocket sizes, I cant find my handbook and many sites have conflicting sizes for my year and bike, some say 17 and 43 and others 16 and 39??

I think I will keep the old sprockets and just get a chain, now most sites and people say its a 520 chain, but some say 112 and others 114, I have read on another forum its 112 for DCT and 114 for manual, does anyone know anything contrary to this?

I have found this chain which was also mentioned in another forum as being a quality chain and as I do aprox 9k a year and its an all year round ride I think I should get the best I can, (and I'm quite poor at looking after it :( )

Any feedback or views are very welcome?

This is the chain I am looking at (even though its doesn't say its for a 2015 Nc750s D ) http://www.chainsandsprockets.com/products/motorcycle-chain-did-xring-super-heavy-duty-gold-520zvmxgg-112-zj

Oh another thing whats with the endless or open thing?

I think it would be a major false economy to just replace the chain & not the sprockets. I reckon you won't get more than 1000 miles before your new chain is worn out if you don't replace at least the front sprocket.

endless (I reckon) is more hassle than it's worth to fit. just get an open chain & split link - but it doesn't sound like you are going to fit it yourself?

I don't know anything about the chain in your link but it looks significantly over engineered for an NC

I'm thinking of going with

that auction site
