Hi to all,

Can anyone tell me the valve clearance specification for the 2014 NC750X?

Also is the procedure the same as the NC700X as shown elsewhere in the forums?

Thanks

Paul

Intake is 0.17mm and exhaust is 0.28mm. There is a video of the procedure on youtube. I don't this 3 weeks ago and it's an easy enough task.

Yeah and don't re-tighten the cylinder head bolts too much otherwise you risk shearing the bolt off, taking 2 hours with a centre-punch and hammer to get the old bolt out and then wait 2 weeks for the new bolt to be sent from some place in France...

....er...yeah, happened to a friend...

...just saying...

Thanks Derek_Mac for the pics, that's nice and easy. :D

Hi Machinman, I assumed Nelmo meant the valve cover bolts as you wouldn't need to remove the cylinder head bolts.

Thanks for your replies.

Well, the manual calls them 'cylinder head cover bolts' (page 10-6) but I meant the 3 hex-head bolts that hold the cover over the valves :-)

Here's a another page which includes all more of the relevant the torque settings.
