Hi Roderick,

It would be most unusual if it needed a remap. Most slip on aftermarket cans just bolt on with no adjustments required.

Taking out the db killer will just make it noisier. Hopefully, your police aren't overly bothered by that.......

 Hi Roderick,

doing an ECU Reset might be helpful, that's basically letting the ECU remap itself.

From Leo Vince website.

Is it necessary to remap the control unit or make changes to the bike after the installation of a LeoVince exhaust?

Unless otherwise stated in the assembly instruction, remapping isn’t necessary because our exhausts are developed to ensure optimum operation even with the bike in standard configuration. Remapping the bikes fuel injection system and/or the installation of an additional unit control may further improve the performance, however.

I cannot speak specifically for the NC750, but ECU's have a thing called adaptation, where they store minor adjustments (fuel trim) to the installed map. The great thing about the current stringent EURO Emissions is that they have forced most manufacturers to run closed loop fuel mixture at most/all RPM settings using the O2 (Lambda) sensor, so in theory it will automatically allow for a slightly freer flowing exhaust. On my 1050ST you just leave it in idle for ten minutes and its resets the adaptation.
