Throttle

There are some 'standard' checks you need to run through. Do you have sufficient free play in the throttle cable? Does the twist grip snap shut when released? If you have heated grips fitted the grip may be fouling the switchgear. That sort of thing.

The adjuster for the throttle cable is under a rubber sleeve BTW.. :)

Hmmm, interesting. Start the engine and, while watching the rev counter carefully, turn the bars from lock to lock (side to side as far as they'll go). If the revs rise (even slightly) that would indicate insufficient play in the cable. Other than that, if you haven't noticed it, I wouldn't bother too much.

When they turned the handlebars  from lock to lock  did it rev up  - not enough  free play on throttle  need a couple  of mm free play

+1 throttle rubber catching, also check throttle cable outer is not split or frayed and could be catching or fouling around the headstock . You can get use to a throttle slightly sticking so you don't notice it, but it should snap back to off as soon as you let go of it. If it rotates slowly back to off then it is binding , catching or needs adjustment. Worth sorting before it gets worse.
