giley 458
Hi, i took my foot lever off yesterday to clean chain/front sprocket. I think i put it back on out of allingment and then moved bike. I now cant select gears! I have put everything back as it should be but still no gears well it does sort of but only 1n 2 and then not very well. So anyone any ideas, have i mucked up syncronisation/allingment in gear box or is this a big coincidence? Anything else i can check? Edit 2016 750x manual Edited July 16, 2017 by giley Link to post
djsb 493
Maybe it's the tie rod nut adjustment or the rose joints are not positioned properly. I leave any further comment to someone with a manual bike. Link to post
Guest machinman
The shifter MUST have been put back in the wrong position. I don't have a manual but IIRC their is a dot on the splined shaft that should correspond with the pinch bolt cut out on the foot shifter. No need and I recommend you do not adjust on the tie rod. Hope this sorts it, you haven't done any harm internally so don't worry. Edited July 16, 2017 by machinman Typo Link to post
