Pobbles 38
Apologies if this has been covered before. Reaching my 16k service point. Is there anything specifically I should make sure my mechanic looks at, aside from obvious stuff like oil and brake fluid changes, air filter, plugs and stuff? I'm gonna get him to grease up the rear shock linkage, as I know.thats an issue. (Nc750s 2016). Cheers Link to post
MatBin 5,100
Don't think plugs are a 16k item and quite expensive, so if the don't need to change according to service schedule I would leave alone and save the money. Chain and sprockets?Tyres?Brake pads?Fork oil? Tappets?Wheel bearings? Edited September 23, 2020 by MatBin 1 Link to post
gobetween55 42
Just had mine done. Got the air filter (which is a pain to get to) and valves checked and adjusted. All the rest checked over and all fine. 1 Link to post
Slowboy 20,540
The plugs will last well over 30k, they’re the iridium type which last way longer in cars. I’d be happy to leave them in until 50k at least. Valve clearances should be checked, although likely as not they’ll be ok if they were done at 8k. I think they’d still be worth checking. After four years it wouldn’t hurt to have a brake fluid check/change either. I’d also change the air filter. I left mine in until 24k and it was pretty much choked. Then just a repeat of what @MatBin said.👍 Edited September 23, 2020 by slowboy 2 1 Link to post
Grumpy old man 4,682
If you have a standard Honda centre stand get them to take the spindle out and grease it, if you don't have a Centre stand you don't need to😁 1 3 Link to post

Oh OK thanks. was wondering if it meant anything more substantial like greasing links etc, but guess that's a bigger job than a service item even if a big service. Link to post
