Changing coolant with dealer fit crash bars

This is just a warning for anyone about to change coolant with the dealer fit crash bars.

Use a funnel with a piece of wide bore pipe to reach the filler cap, do not try to remove the crash bars or check the nuts by the headstock are not loose.

Besides the fact they are quite hard to get back to the original position the two bolts in front of the headstock go into nuts that are either loose or more likely brazed into place and can come loose. There is no easy way to get them back into position.

At some point I want to remove all the bodywork to see how it clips together and I can deal with it then, but until then they are retained with 3 bolts.
