davebike 943 Posted August 7, 2021 Share Posted August 7, 2021 On way home Thhursday odd noises from rear Checked NO play no issues On way home friday more noise play ! limped home Rear wheel on back my Grom and brought in the morning All very corroded and inner of bearing fell out I destroyed the oil seal removing it Used a head race removle tool to grip outer race and removed it Cleaned up the wheel and inner spacer New bearings less inner seals lots grease in caverty put back looked up seal on Fowlers 30/47/7.5 Pulled out the first of several storage boxes full oil seals on top a 30/47/7.5 Well that went well Now the put wheel on 125 ride home and refit ! https://www.that auction site.co.uk/itm/303335489387?hash=item46a0343f6b:g:4KIAAOSwkxtdsy3R 2 Link to post

Yes very old school Inner oil seal off fit one bearing put good quantity on grease into hub between bearings fit inner space and fit seccond bearing with inner oil seal removed fit outer oil seal greasing between bearing and oil seal This is how I was taught as a tranee mechanic At Lexport Ltd Bromley and Heron Suzuki GB in 1976! Moder practice seem to be put it all up dry and hope ! Link to post
