Potatoes 15
I washed my bike yesterday morning and afterwards went for a ride with no problems initially. After about 5 miles I popped into a shop and when I went to re start the bike it took three or four attempts to get it to start and when I did start it the PGM-FI light stayed on. Rode back home and booked it in to the dealer for tomorrow afternoon (monday). Anyway, half an hour later I tried the bike again and it was fine with no light on so I went for a 10 mile ride with no problems. I thought it had cleared up, but today the light is back on and can't start the bike at all. I imagine I have got water in there somewhere. Does anyone have any idea how serious this could be? Edit: It's a 2019 manual NC750s Edited March 6, 2022 by Potatoes Link to post
poldark 1,554
Check your battery connections, although it could be a case of water ingress when something similar happened to me it was low battery voltage and a recharge fixed it all. I have a replacement battery charged and ready to go on when it recurs. Albeit mine still started (just) and ran fine. Edited March 6, 2022 by poldark 1 Link to post
embattle 332
When my Integra did something like that it turned out to be some corrosion on the connectors from water. 1 Link to post
Potatoes 15
Thank you for the replies. It did turn out to be the battery. Sorted now. 2 1 Link to post
Johnnie Mototrans 2,771
Thanks for the feedback. Duff batteries seem to be a common theme suggesting most of the actual electrics are pretty robust. 1 Link to post
