Has anybody hard wired an optimate lead to the battery ?

If so how without modifying the cover ?

I have hard wired a heated jacket harness and i can use the dangling socket to plug in an optimate. I ran the wire inside the not tank and through a small hole drilled in the top edge at the back

I have the optimate lead attached to battery and running into main compartment where the rubber band that holds tool kit is hooked. No need to drill a hole as there is already a gap large enough

Pretty new to all of this, but is a Fuzeblock not a better option as you can use multiple devices compared to using a Optimate plug in?

Am sure it is but the only thing I use the connection for is to charge a mobile or power a sat nav or charge the battery so minimalist works fine for me
