Fork en hell mate.

Ok this is a strange one,I replaced my forkseals around 1000miles ago,and one of them started to leak a bit so I've replaced that one again,but when I was putting the front wheel back on I noticed that the wheel spacers did not fit snuggly between the fork legs,there's about 12mm gap,when the front axle is nipped up, I've closed this gap up to about 6 mm by applying a small bit of pressure to the forks.any ideas what might be going on? Bike handles fine and no unusual wear on the tyres I've rotated each stansion to see if there was any bends in them but they seem strait .I've attached a link to a picture.

Do a search on the forum for a similar thread.
I have a vague recollection that this issue has been raised before?
