unlocking seat.

Hello,

I have a 2018 NC750X DCT with less than 4000 miles on the clock and like new. However just went to unlock the seat with the ignition key and cannot get it to open.

By turning the ignition key anti-clockwise and pressing down on the barrel at the same the seat should unlock  but will not. 

Have tried pushing down on the seat at the same time as turning the key, but no good.

Could anyone help with advise please.

Hi, I have a 750S so a different system I think but with mine I sometimes have to push down on one end of the seat at the same time as turning the key, rather than pushing down on it centrally

I think your problem is probably the catch holding the seat rather than the key end of things.

Turn the key and then wiggle the seat.

Pat, push, punch , thump.

It should let go.

Then, Lubricate both ends.

Once you have it open have a look on YouTube, there's a bloke on there who rigs a string set-up so he can manually open the seat if necessary.

Bit of a bodge but practical...
