FurstyFerret 65
Hi guys, Have just greased suspension linkage and the dog bones have a gap of like 2mm at full torque 44nm Seems as if the internal collars are too long. Is this normal? If so, is there any side the gap should be on? Link to post
Grumpy old man 4,681
Yep, seem to think that's how it's meant to be, if there was no gap it would bind against the dog bones. 1 Link to post
FurstyFerret 65
Thanks, that's good to know. Would think they'd shove a rubber collar in or something. No wonder it's always got one side a bit rusty. Link to post
fj_stuart 4,753
As I recall from replacing needle roller suspension bearings on my FJ there are rubber seals inside the bearings that should prevent water entering. Link to post
