re the Charging rate

As today was the first time a ran heated grips and gloves and came into work via the lanes using main bea and driving lights it reminded me

 

To thse of you using DCT  running in one of the sport modes reves the engine more and gives a better charging voltage

I'm in the very fortunate position of not having to go out in the cold anymore. However, on the occasions I do, I find the Oxford heated grips a Godsend. Such luxuries were never afforded me back in my commuting days. My short trips today wouldn't allow for extended load on the battery so I plug it in to the Optimate every day.

Ditto.  I keep the bike & trike on the tender during crappy non-riding weather.
