Help/Fitting throttle cables.

Rookie mistake but pulled right hand grip off without loosening/moving the handlebars. Assuming stretched throttle cables. Reassembled and now throttle sticks open if held for any length of time. Was initially sorting by adjustment at bar end of cable but has steadily got worse so need to replace.

 

I understand that the "B" (idle) cable at the engine just has a lock nut and no adjuster, whereas the "A" (open) cable has an adjuster at the engine and handle ends. Is it just a case of fitting B and then making "A" taught? Or is there something else to it?

 

Don't get how B doesn't require adjustment.

 

Is it just a case of fitting them or is there a sequence/nack to it?

 

Any help appreciated as manual is about as much use as tits on fish.

Cable "B" is there to allow you to close the throttle if for instance the throttle return spring was broken so it is not critical in terms of adjustment.

As for fitting them, just fit cable "B" and tighten the locknuts then for cable "A" use the adjuster at the engine end of the cable to get the free play somewhere right and then use the adjuster at the handlebar end for fine adjustment.
