Annual service just done

Just took my X in to Bransons in Yeovil yesterday for its annual service with less than 4k clocked during my 15 months of ownership  (I know, I'm just not trying hard enough!!). Cost was £145 and this friendly and helpful Honda dealership appears to have done a good job. I mentioned that I wasn't happy with the efficiency of the foot brake, so they bled the system FOC in addition to the strip/clean/inspect/lube included in the service for both brakes. FYI, the bill splits down into £97 labour (1.7 hrs) and £48 parts. According to the thorough documentation, they've checked 93 items (which I've no reason to doubt) and recorded that I've got 4mm of brake pad material left at both ends and >3.5mm and 4.0mm of tread left on front and rear tyres respectively. On the half-hour ride home not only was the foot brake more responsive but the whole bike seemed to be running even better than normal. Just my imagination... or maybe the fact that my wallet was that much lighter ??
