red bar on dash

Morning all

 

Just picked up my new nc 700 which is sweet but when I turn ignition off a red bar stays on where bottom fuel guage is when ignition on ? is this normal and what does it denote ?

Yep completely normal. Think its just something to do with colouring the LCD screen. nothing to worry about. See this:

This is normal. Don't worry. But are you sure it's red?

Many thanks am glad it normal ! and yes its a red bar.

 

Great bike though no clutch is taking a bit of getting used to !!

Hey Matt,

 

Did you buy yours new?

 

If so you will find the bike becomes considerable smoother once you hit about 2000 miles. I started always keeping it it S mode as I found D too juddery. Now I happily use D and just S for when I really need the extra ooomph or engine breaking.

It's the only way they could achieve a black and red flashing last bar from a black and white? LCD display.

Don't know why they couldn't just have a black & white flashing last bar - I suppose to draw more attention to the fact you will die if you run out of fuel.

Yeh it's new and just ordered a rad guard as already a small dent in the fins !! Ajhjhh##!!

Any how will get over it as it still runs great really happy with it
