Swing arm play?

Would some one be so kind to tell me if they have any play in their swing arm when grasped at 6 and 12 o clock when on the centre stand. Thanks in advance guys.

I remember reading in the U.S. forum one time that yes, people were noticing play in the swingarm with low miles. I don't remember the details and I don't visit that forum anymore because I'm sick of reading all the on-line bullying, but I do know that several people noticed it and came to the conclusion a small amount was normal. Never checked mine but anything significant is certainly cause for concern.

Just checked, no, nothing at all.

The swing arm is set in bearing on both sides so you have to have a little play but if it's like 5mm or so pop the gray covers off the swing arm pivot bolt and check if it's loose if not don't worry about..

Thank-you all, il check the bolt torque at the weekend and hopefully be able take a little play out. Thanks again.

Update time, I removed the grey footrest hangers and sure enough the swinging arm bolt was not torqued sufficently. I have now re-torqued and all play has disappeared.
