ste7ios 469
Something strange happened today... I never expected something like this from a Honda. I had the high beam turned on... I noticed that smoke rised from the switch... I turned it off and the smoke stopped. It smells like burnt wire insulation... Link to post
michael 324
Magic smoke. Happens all the time. Usually a sign that the magic smoke has escaped the wires resulting in an electrical break down. Ok, seriously now. Occasionally it's merely some form of "stuff," on the switches or wires that burns off and that's the end of it. Generally speaking an electrical fault will cause a tripped breaker or burnt fuse. Check the fuse and if okay, try it again. If no smoke, no worries. If it continues, I'd be back at the shop and pointing at the switch in front of the service writer? Hope it's nothing serious! Link to post
Guest seanmc
You should not ride with a asmoke in your hand...rather get an open face helmet then u can leave it in your mouth Link to post

ste7ios 469
I just checked it with my engineer. No signs of burning... He also checked the bulb. I did a long ride for 1:20' with high speeds but no smoke... I think I must contact with Honda for further check under the warranty. In case of a short the fuse should be dead now. Link to post
