Guest Southerner
I'll be at Doble's at 08:30 this morning for my X's 600 mile service. There are a couple of issues I need them to look at - I'll check back later with how it went and the cost. Link to post
Guest surreyhills1
Good luck with the service, my first one due soon. I will be interested to know what you get charged for the service. I have been quoted between £150 & £180 for mine. Link to post
Guest snowball
The labour is free and my 750x service at 600 miles cost £38 so ask before you book it in as people are being ripped off. Link to post

As I understand it as far as Honda are concerned the free labour is no longer automatic but is at the dealers discretion. Link to post
Guest Southerner
All done and dusted at Doble this morning. Quoted price was £120 - less £10 service voucher and less £25 which I overpaid on accessories when I bought the X brought it down to £85. Issues reported when it went in: 1. Occassional annoying squeak from front end somewhere. Solved - 'Frunk' lid adjusted. No more squeak. 2. Small area of paint chipped on rear offside wheel rim. About 3mm diameter. Solved - White marker from factory where tyre valve checked tight! Doh....! Did I feel daft! Itwas dried on so felt like paint defect, honest! 3. Handlebars needed adjusting as my right hand was very slightly back from my left. Solved - Adjusted straight. I hadn't changed the clock since BST kicked in - that was noticed and changed so a nice touch that. Shows the tech was paying attention. All in all, completely happy with today's events. Link to post
prr 153
Just passed mine. Nothing special - oil and filters. It costs 55 Euro. Unfortunately I was able to drop the bike sidewise. Now I have to change the clutch lever Still usable but makes me angry every time I see it Link to post
Guest Southerner
55 Euro is real cheap Peter. Link to post
Guest szucsi
Mine was around 64 Euro in Budapest, Hungary. Link to post

edgey999 115
What tyres have you gone for Mark. I put on what my Honda dealer suggested which are Dunlop Roadsmart 2 front and rear. Link to post
deecat 318
You should get a lot better mileage with those. Link to post
edgey999 115
You should get a lot better mileage with those. It would be hard to get worse without buying another Hayabusa Link to post

Did they change the clutch filter? I had thought that was not till 16,000 miles ( I don't have the workshop manual to check), but the part only costs around £5 and the work is barely 5 mins extra. Guest GBH
Yes the clutch filter is changed at 600 miles on a DCT and then every 2 years or 16,000 miles Edited April 22, 2014 by GBH Link to post
