CFB 4,602
is removal easy? ie 10 minutes? If so, I might do that muyself Mike Yup, very easy Mike.On the 700dct... 1 Allen screw at the rear of belly pan and one of those rubber bung things about half way towards the front. 2 8mm bolts hold the sprocket cover on. Footrest hanger has 2 hex bolts. Job done. I assume the 750 is no different? Edited May 13, 2015 by CFB Link to post
Marte 127
I use Bonekicker's recommendations.... I spray with WD40 or maintenance spray oil, then gently wipe with a lint free rag/cloth. Then spray a good helping of 3 in 1 and WD40 mix I do this while the bike is on the centre stand and slowly spinning the wheel with my other hand. Wipe off the excess. Remember to have an old towel or something on the ground to collect the droplets. Again, gently wipe off the excess... Job done. Do this as often as you can, it only takes a few minutes. Your chain will last you an age. I initially used a brush similar to this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ryde-Motorcycle-Chain-Cleaning-Brush/dp/B00CJDCXZ6with a good chain cleaner and then just regularly repeat "Bonekicker's" recommendations. The chain is just superb!! How long does the chain last with that method? I read you've done 55000 miles so far. Link to post
CFB 4,602
After my effort cleaning all the muck off the chain etc the other weekend, I have been looking for a tin of Profilube. Used it on previous bikes. No fling, no muck, just does the job. It was sold by Hein Gericke and now only on t'internet. I have found the same stuff, now rebranded Muc-Off. 1 Link to post
