  1. I had fun many times changing the mechanical seal in cx500's, engine out, rear engine cover off, knock old seal out, heat engine plate in oven, knock new seal in, rebuild. Someone came up with the idea of pulling the old seal apart whilst still in situ and sticking the new part in with silicone sealer, it worked and saved loads of time and effort, a Yamaha seal could be used too so the parts aren't exclusive. Hope your repair is a total success and frustration free.

A little pick type tool will get seals out its obvious which one goes where as different sizes clean grooves out I use a Dremel with small wire brush clean out with a squirt of brake cleaner I smear a little rubber grease on seals and pistons and don't push Pistons, fully in otherwise bleeding will be a long drawn out affair

  3. I have had the misfortune of dropping mine.., the only tilt sensor was the choice words from the owner. And the bruises and pulled muscles for days afterwards
