  1. Thanks all.....it's booked in for next week so that'll take it up to around the 700 mark....I kind of thought that would be the parameters but just wanted to check....cheers for the replies.

  2. I think you have to press button A while releasing button 2 four times anti-clockwise in sucession using only your left hand on a Tuesday. Of course if the display was previously set to metric and/or Southern hemisphere time, button A is in the position of button 1 and the polarity of button B is reversed. Left and Tuesday is fixed, while anti-clockwise only changes south of the equator, anything else would be trying to cram too many functions into too few buttons and therefore silly! Leave it set to BST and subtract one in winter! Andy

  3. In mechanical terms I wouldn't worry, its probably another 600. If the dealer can't keep you mobile I'd offer them the choice of servicing it before 700 and stamping the book, letting an independent of your choice do it and stamp the book as though the dealer did it, loan you a bike or give you your money back. I think I spent three hours last month working for Hurley-Pugh after a similar conversation. At least thats what the warranty record on their computer system will show after their mechanic wasn't available. Andy

  4. All of my time telling devices, whether it's a watch, kitchen clock, mobile phone, car or the bike, they all have to be synchronised. Some would call it OCD and could well be correct, all I know is it bugs me if they are different.

  5. Wittling your own sprockets. Isnt it obvious that the DCT would need a superior chain and sprockets,

  7. You can't always trust suppliers to get it right Myles. I bet half of em don't even know what a DCT is. Thats why I asked on here first, luckily Trisaki posted the actual amount of teeth on each sprocket and the length of chain, I cross referenced that to my order before pulling the trigger. Good luck on set number 3 mate.

  8. Thanks people, I didn't really think it was an issue , I was just thinking to myself that when filtering it can be slightly 'juddery' when quickly slowing down to filter between traffic down to about 5 mph. I just thought that maybe the if the clutch was engaged a fraction it might contribute towards this. I have always found the throttle very sensitive (when accelerating off) and requires a gradual twist then open the throttle when the revs have built up a bit. Also if the chain becomes a little slack (eg movement of around 25mm) the is a bit of a 'snatch' (technical term!) so for this re

  9. For exactly the same reason I don't carry one in my car (I always buy automatics): because the last time I needed emergency help with a knackered battery was in 1987 (I remember it well). There's no way I'm going to carry a box around with me to handle those once-in-thirty-years events. Especially as the box itself will require more attention to keep it charged and ready to go than the vehicle it's supposed to be supporting. Do you carry one in your car? I bet you don't. So why carry one for your bike?
