  1. Andy, that's where the confusion comes from. On the S models, the connector IS on the RIGHT as you say. On X models it is on the LEFT. I don't think the model year makes a difference to either.

  3. Its the RIGHT panel on a 750. The plug you are after is on the RIGHT roughly where you would expect a fuel tap to be on an old bike. Same huge panels to come off, you just need work on the other side. White thing in the middle of the shot How do we get this as a sticky? It seems to get asked weekly with the confusion between 700's and 750's. Andy

Undo the electrical sensor plug from the rear of the air box lid on the L/H side Looking down at the top of the airbox, you need to undo the 6 Phillips screws holding the lid on, there are two here Two more here And two more which you access from above the battery. Be careful not to drop them on removal ! Once you've undone the 6 screws, and the sensor, remove the air box lid itself to reveal the filter itself ! This is what you should be left with the filter removed! Take car not to drop any bits down the intake Now repeat all
