  1. It's little bit wrong.. The links the chain manufacturers provide as joining links have softer ends to allow them to be swaged over by home (and dealer) mechanics. A chain supplied as 'endless' will have hard links all round. So, a chain with a joining link will never become endless. When splitting a chain I always search for a joint because that will push through with little effort. Trying to 'break' an endless chain is best done by grinding off the hard rivets first. And, as a point of interest, there is nothing wrong with a, correctly fitte

  3. What utter incompetence on the part of the tech, or more likely deliberate bullshit. He must think you are stupid to try that ridiculous 'S1' argument - how rude it that? F***ing wanker. This is an appalling story!

  4. First rule in trying to solve a problem - try and deny there is a problem. And even if there is, it's somehow the customer's fault! Gawd 'elp us.. I would write to the dealer and say (in effect, don't use these words.. ) "Look, legally you have to give me a re-fund. If you don't **** me about I may well spend that re-fund in your shop. If you carry on the way you are, I'm off!" And send a copy to customer services at H.U.K.

  12. I don't know how long you have been riding but certainly when Honda first came on the market their reliability was superior to anything else around. When I went on the visit to the Triumph factory in Hinckley shortly after it opened the guide told us that their aim was to equal Honda quality. Certainly in the 70s and 80s Honda's build quality was superior to the other Japanese companies. Read any magazine dedicated to restoring bikes from those years and you will find evidence of that.So far I have never owned a Honda that proved problematic. Im not saying Honda are perfect but they are c
