Manufacturing discrepancies and expansion/contraction might stress the radiator if both sides were bolted. If one side is secure, but still free to "float" slightly, no stressing can occur.
No, that's normal.
If you check the (bolt-less) right side mount you'll find that the radiator's rubber bushing sits over a tubular projection on the bracket.
The bolt on the left side is effectively trapping the right bushing in place.
If you feel you need to, the nut/bolt pair are the same as the one that is there - 10mm x 30-40mm (measure the existing bolt to be sure).
@Defender he sent me tyre decals that I never got round to fitting to the NC.
It took me several years after his passing to be able to part with them even after the bike had long gone.
a generous guy, full of friendly chat and so knowledgeable on the mechanics.
Just stood in front of computer moaning to myself about bad pain so feekin annoying -- then I started looking trough some pics -- and then felt selfish for complaining !!!!!
Remember Keith - Yes I do he rode across to Preston Del Sol probably once a month from other side of Manchester to go out for ride around The Trough of Bowland with me-- lets just see how many members remember him ?
I still have the handguards that I got from him, they aren't currently fitted to a bike, but will be again at some point, possibly my NC'X partly in honour of Keith .
It is of course sad that we must eventually head off to pastures new, which is why I’ve been determined to kick the a**e out of it for as long as I can and enjoy the company of good people. A key reason why I’m on here. 😁
Of those that have left already I have many happy memories. 🙂
