Exhaust, drain hole?

Is there a small drain hole in the silencer on the 750x, location at lowest point near connection to exhaust pipe? Found one on mine, looks like it supposed to be there and not something created by rust, noticed water dripping from it do my guess is it's supposed to be there. Have an MOT coming up, so if it's a rust hole I need to fix it.

Yes, my Crossrunner has one too. For me, the amount of water that comes out of the hole is enough evidence that it is a bad thing periodically to start the engine when the bike is laid up. A fair amount comes out; not surprising as one gallon of petrol produces one gallon of water.

Water vapour maybe.

Yes, vapour...The point stands though.

Or more precisely, the combustion process produces water vapour which condenses into water on the basis of, roughly, one gallon of petrol produces one gallon of water....
