saso 14
Hello I would like to ask for a little help, namely When installing a new chain and adjusting it on my NC 750 XA (manual transmission, 2019), while it was on the center stand, and the engine was running with the transmission in gear, the check engine light appeared and remained on. Any ideas how to reset the error without a tester? Thanks in advance for your help Link to post
jeremyr62 3,302
Ignore it and it will go away eventually. 3 Link to post
Slowboy 23,994
What Jeremy said. It’s just the abs sensor getting confused with the front wheel stationary and the rear wheel spinning round. It’ll reset itself. 2 Link to post
saso 14
Noted Thank you very much Do you perhaps know how much time/km it would take to turn off? Link to post
prr 160
If it doesn't turn off on the next ride or two you are having a problem. And I doubt the issue is because of the ABS. It has its own light. And I often lift the rear and run the rear in gear (no central stand though) to dry the chain after wash. Never had the check engine on when doing so. Link to post

They normally reset after a maximum of three goes in my experience. Depends what the default self clear is set up to do. Let us know how it goes, it might help someone else later👍 1 Link to post
saso 14
Considering that nothing else has been done to the motorcycle other than changing the chain and two sprockets, I really hope it will be reset I will wait for a little better weather to ride it and I will report back Thank you for the advice 1 Link to post

Now everything is great!!! :-) 1 2 Link to post
