I have just bought a used Honda Silverwing 600 and the rear brake caliper has the same problem that I had with my NC700S. That is, the mounting pin was out of line and appears bent. I bought a used caliper off the internet and it cured the problem. Seems that the NC's are not the only bikes to suffer this problem - it seems to be a Nissin problem rather than a Honda problem. djsb 493 Posted October 15, 2014 Share Posted October 15, 2014 (edited) The elasticity of Titanium is less than that of steel and I would be VERY wary of using Titanium bolts in ANY safety critical area such as brake discs. Less elasticity means more prone to stress fracture when under strain. Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not a metalurgist. Edited October 15, 2014 by djsb Link to post
